Mission Statement

The mission of the Aquinas Academy Library is to prepare students to become independent users of information, think critically, creatively, and independently when locating and evaluating information and technology.

Philosophy

The philosophy of the school library staff is to create a welcoming atmosphere for the library/media center and to become an extension of the classroom.  The school library media specialist supports the curriculum by working collaboratively with the faculty to encourage the students to become independent, lifelong learners and user of libraries.  When students feel secure, accepted, and actively engaged in educational activities, they have greater success in learning.
