Academic Support

Aquinas Academy has an Academic Support educational program staffed by a fulltime, Pennsylvania certified teacher. This program meets the needs of those students who have been identified, through a professional evaluation, with a specific academic difficulty. 

The program serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The students’ needs dictate the amount of time spent in the academic support classroom. The support teacher, in a one-on-one setting or in a small group, instructs the identified students. 

In addition, the support teacher meets with the classroom teachers to review the progress of the individual student(s) and the implementation of the Individual Classroom Accommodation Plan.
