Seton Hill Tutoring Program

Aquinas Academy in conjunction with Seton Hill University, Greensburg, has created a free, after-school tutoring partnership for students in fourth through eighth grades. Each fall and winter semester, Seton Hill education students tutor the students at Aquinas Academy each Monday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 pm.  An Aquinas Academy faculty member monitors all tutoring sessions.

Basis for student participation may include:

V  Teacher recommendation

V  Parent recommendation

V  Guidance counselor recommendation

The tutors and their Aquinas Academy students meet each week.

Seton Hill University education students will have the opportunity to put educational theory into practice, demonstrate personal work habits in a professional setting, and experience small group and individual tutoring sessions.

Aquinas Academy students will have the opportunity to develop study skills and good study habits, experience academic success, develop a positive attitude about school and increase self-esteem.
