NOW ACCEPTING SEALED BIDS for BELL SYSTEM
The Aquinas Academy, located at 340 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601 is accepting sealed bids beginning February 19, 2026 until March 5, 2026 for work related to the PA / bell system within the school. All work must be completed no later than June 1, 2026. Sealed bids which meet the below listed specs may be mailed to the school at the above address, attn: Principal Jessica Brecht, no later than 4 pm on March 5, 2026.

Questions regarding the scope of work or the questions related to the specs can be directed to Jake Glessner as well at the contact info listed above. Sealed bids will be opened publicly at the Aquinas Academy office on March 6, 2026 at 11am. All of the below specs are a requirement of the job. Bids that fail to meet all of the specs will not be considered.
- The purpose of this project is to upgrade the analog paging and bell system at Aquinas Academy by replacing the backend analog equipment in the main office and reusing the existing analog speakers throughout the school.
- Remove existing Dukane equipment and add an equipment rack to the main office area to house new network-based equipment. Any network switches required will be provided by the customer.
- Connect and test all existing analog speakers to the new backend equipment. Adjust volumes as needed.
- Vendor to provide one dedicated hardware console to be placed on the secretaries’ desk in the main office.
- New equipment must support integration with the school’s hosted VoIP phone system. Vendor is expected to work with customer’s IT department to complete this integration.
- New equipment must include audio input capabilities for playing audio files over the PA system from an external device such as a CD player.
- Proposal must include zone paging modules and amplifiers for at least 2 zones (cafeteria and gym). Also other speakers are installed in classrooms.
- Proposal must include 5 new surface mount analog speakers. These will be used for any required replacements discovered during the installation of the new backend hardware.
- New equipment must support the ability to page all speakers, page individual classrooms, support talkback and talkback buttons in classrooms, provide programmable timed bells, and support multiple bell schedules.
